Homeowner Questions to ask Custom Kreations, Inc.

  • Steve Huben has been in the business since graduating from high school in 1983. He has owned and operated Custom Kreations, Inc. since 1986.

  • Yes, we are licensed by the State of WI, along with holding various credentials that need to be renewed every other year. Continuing education must be obtained to renew these credentials.

  • Yes, we are completely covered with General Liability Insurance, Workman's Comp, and will be

    happy to provide you with a certificate of insurance if desired. In addition, all of our sub-contractors

    are also fully covered with the same insurances.

  • Yes, absolutely! Our contract and specification sheets are approximately 35 pages.

  • We issue a lien waiver with each bill we pay. That service provider will then sign off of it and return it

    to us. We then provide them to your title company for their files.

  • A change order will be processed when the scope of work is being altered. The contract will be

    amended by using this change order to alter the price and/or time frame. We will issue the change

    order and send it over to you for your signature of approval. It must be signed/approved by all

    decision makers. The proposed change will not take place until we have the signed/approved

    change order back in our possession.

  • The contract stipulates a completion date, through it is not guaranteed. We have to take into

    consideration any unforeseen circumstances such as material back-orders, weather conditions, etc.

    We have in the past had to guarantee the completion date and can do that by calculating a worst

    case scenarios.

  • Yes, absolutely! This would need to be arranged with the homeowner prior, but is not a problem.

  • Yes, cleaning is included. All people who perform a service in your home will clean up after

    themselves. We also have a cleaning service come in at the completion of our work, but before you

    take occupancy.

  • Yes. During the construction process, there will be monthly draw requests. These requests are for

    work performed the previous month. The itemization will be easy to follow and will have a

    breakdown for you to review. We are also implementing a program online that you can log onto and

    view all pertinent information at any time

  • No, we do not have any extra reserves built into the bid price.

  • Depending upon the urgency of the service call, determines on when we arrive. Otherwise, it will be within a day or two.
